Effa Beauette

Effa has been teaching 35 years, 30 of those at RHS. She worked in both instructional and in administrative capacities. She as been instrumental in the development of the 9th grade transition program, IB, the RHS academies, the Executive Internship program and has a national board certification. Effa has also worked in sales and marketing. Effa states: “First, I still have much to learn, second, every student has the potential to achieve great things!”

Randy Crete

Randy became a Board Member in 2001. He chairs the committee to rebuild the Science Center (Planetarium) and has been a strong advocate for the Small Learning Community initiative. He and his wife, Karen, have a two sons who are Riverview alumni. Randy is a Certified Financial Planner. He also serves on the Endowment Committee for the Sarasota Family YMCA Foundation.

Kristine Del Vecchio

Kristine has lived in the area for since 1990.  She has a BS in Education from the University of Connecticut and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of South Florida.  She is a CPA and CIA and has 20 years experience in both public and corporate accounting.  Kristine was formerly on the Board of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and has been teaching as an adjunct instructor of accounting at USF, Manatee Community College (Venice) and Gulf Coast University for many years.

Lucy English

Lucy and her husband, Bill, have 2 children at RHS (Robert, class of 2008 and Katherine, class of 2010). She joined the board in 2006 to help promote Riverview High School in the community. She is a former board member at Incarnation School and been active while her children were at Cardinal Mooney. 

Lucy is the Grants Committee chairperson for 2008-09.

David Jang

David joined the Foundation in 2006 and currently serves as Secretary. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 with a BS in Economics. David and his wife Desiree do not have any children at RHS but as an alumni (class of 1978) he wants help and continue to be a part of RHS. David is in the investment banking business (since 1985) and also volunteers at St. Judes Children's Hospital and Citizens for Better Schools. 

David is the Investment Committee Chairperson.

John Kampmann - President

John joined the Board in 2007.  He also serves on SAC.   John's parents were both teachers and he wants to make a positive impact within Sarasota's high schools and community.  He has 2 daughters, Jenna graduated from RHS in 2008 & Molly graduating in 2009 from PineView.  John is a small business owner, MEA Engineers, Inc., The Deck Docktors & Global Construction, Inc. 

John is also the Donor Development Chairperson.

Mark Loveridge - Vice President

Mark joined the Foundation in 2006 and currently serves as Vice President. He is a Land Planner at Williams, Parker, Harrison, Dietz & Getzen. He and his wife Elizabeth have a son, Alex, attendind RHS (class of 2010). Mark has strong community involvement including the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity.

Jody Nelson, Treasurer

Jody became a Foundation member in 2006 and has served as Treasurer since that time. She is the Controller of the Heritage Oaks Gulf & Country Club. She is a CPA, an RN and has a MBA. Jody and her husband Gene have a son, Brett, who graduated from Venice High and attends Binghamton University. They also have a daughter, Kayla, who is currently attending RHS, class of 2010. Jody is also a member of the ABWA.

Linda Nook - Secretary

Principal of Riverview High School since 2001. Prior to becoming Principal at Riverview, she spent 14 years as both an elementary and middle school principal. She has a Masters Degree in Education from CSU. Linda and her family moved to Sarasota from Northern California in 1993 and she and her husband, Bob, have 2 daughters who are RHS graduates.

William Robertson

Bill is an attorney at Kirk Pinkerton.  He joined the Foundation in 2008.  Born and raised in Sarasota and a 1977 graduate of RHS.  Bill & his wife, Linda, have 2 students currently attending Rivervier, Sarah (2009) and Wesley (2012).   

Thomas Vassallo, II

Tom joined the Foundation in 2008.  He works in the financial services sector at AXA Advisors.  He is a RHS graduate, class of 1987.  He and his wife, Cassie, currently have children at Southside who will ultimately attend Riverview.   Tom also volunteers at the Ringling Redskins Football league.

Dr. Eleanor Wachs

Dr. Eleanor Wachs has taught at Riverview High School since 2003.  She holds a doctorate from Indiana University in Folklore and English Education.  She has been on the faculty of Brown University, the University of Massachusetts-Boston and most recently taught in the Anthropology Department at MIT before coming to Sarasota in 2003.  She is a published writer and author of many academic articles.  At Riverview, Dr. Wachs teaches Advanced Placement English classes and Honors English classes.  She is the advisor to the award running Tartan Yearbook.

Cyndi Forgeur - Foundation Coordinator

Cyndi joined the Foundation in 2003 as Coordinator.  She is a graduate of RHS, class of 1974.  Cyndi worked in the securities business for 27 years before starting her bookkeeping and professional organizing business in 2003.
